This kitchen project involved a complete remodel knocking through walls to make an open plan kitchen dining and sitting area. To enhance the functionality of the kitchen we designed a number of features to meet the client unique needs. Cleverly concealed wardrobe space which is behind the tall door to the left of the bi-fold doors, this can also be accessed from the porch area at the front door. The bi-fold doors retain the work surface and can keep the kettle and toaster and beverage area hidden away when required. The curved worktop and Island breakfast bar, crafted in French oak feature a preparation sink – ideal for when guests visit. All appliances are housed in behind the long tall run of French oak cabinets leading up to the four door feature curved cabinet which invites you around the corner to the housed microwave. We re-used a number of units from the existing kitchen to make a bar area.
